Crocus Technology is seeking a skilled, aggressive, and knowledgeable Product Line Manager for its portfolio of the most advanced XtermeSenseTM TMR magnetic sensors. The Product Line Manager is the “owner” of all aspects of the product from concept to end-of-life including revenues, margins, cost modeling, TAM/SAM analysis, and competitive positioning. This leader defines the new product roadmap using their knowledge of market dynamics, customer needs, technology readiness and corporate execution ability to define the right products to meet business objectives. This role involves internal and customer-facing communication where you build relationships with executives and technical leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage product P&L including revenues, margins, cost structure, and positioning
  • Engage customers and field staff to collect customer and market requirements
  • Own the product roadmap and define new products (product requirements, business case, competitive outlook)
  • Manage core aspects of product for the full life cycle (definition to end-of-life) – target applications, core value proposition, pricing, market opportunity
  • Drive and cooperate with the field staff to drive and support Design In’s and Design Win’s. Direct field staff to applications where the product fits, drive internal response to RFI/RFQ’s, provide pricing and terms that can be offered in specific customer negotiations to close deals
  • Cooperate with other product managers to ensure new products fit into overall Product Line
  • Work with application team on reference designs and demo-boards
  • Create aggressive Go-to-Market plans to drive revenue and align outbound marketing and field sales tools with business plans for the product line
  • Global role with domestic and international travel (0-25%)

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in product management for technical products (sensor or power management) with examples of products that have gone through definition, development and production release
  • Analytical skills for modeling market impact of product trade-off decisions (revenue, units, segmentation, attach rates)
  • Ability and judgement to prioritize activity to achieve overall goals in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • An “ownership” mind set where you feel responsible for the overall success of the product
  • Experience and knowledge of analog and mixed-signal products and the manufacturing flow
  • BS in electrical engineering and knowledge of magnetic sensors or power management is preferred. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

Description

Responsible for developing and implementing quality processes within the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements. Leads 8D problem solving activities to support supplier and customer reported issues. Provide quality engineering support to suppliers and customers and drive quality improvements.

Projects and Deliverables

  1. Deliverables for a project include but are not limited to:
  2. Set up and implementation of quality processes to comply with IATF 16949 requirements.
  3. Create needed process documentation.
  4. Take the lead on customer complaints and coordinate responses and completion of 8D to ensure timeliness and quality of responses.
  5. Take on key role in driving compliance to IATF 16949 through audits and process improvements to achieve certification.
  6. Active participation in the APQP process and manages PPAP deliverables and customer submissions.
  7. Evaluate and support implementation of the APQP/PPAP software tool for effective management of the process and the deliverables.

Basic Qualifications

Good working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 requirements with a working knowledge of the Core Quality Tools (FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC, APQP/Control Plan). Experience in quality engineering supporting suppliers and automotive customers. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements

Description

Crocus Technology is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Test Engineers to join our Product and Test engineering team located in Santa Clara, CA. As Sr. Test Engineer, you will develop production test hardware (wafer sort and final test) and test programs for our leading-edge magnetic sensor products using ATE platforms. You should have hands-on experience in debugging production test programs, proficient with test methodology concepts, multi-site testing and test hardware development, product characterization and experience supporting high volume production testing. You will also be responsible for validation and qualification of test hardware, test systems and release into manufacturing and sustaining it.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug and deployment of wafer sort and final test production test programs for mix-signal magnetic sensor products on ATE platforms.
  • Design and develop multi-site probe cards and final test hardware with active components on-board to ensure device testability.
  • Engage with test hardware manufacturers, review and approve engineering and production test hardware schematics and board layouts.
  • Collaborate with third-party subcontractors on test hardware and test program development, test system verification and validation.
  • Perform test systems calibrations, gage repeatability & reproducibility (Gauge R&R).
  • Perform test time reduction, yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Recommend changes required on testing equipment’s, test procedures or test methodologies to improve test quality and reduce test cost.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield data, debug failures and lot dispositioning.
  • Require some travel and/or remote support during new product release and sustaining it.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior Test Program development experience on Chroma 3650, Eagle ETS 364, SPEA DOT 800, Magnum M1 or ASL 1000 systems.
  • Experience developing ATE test programs using languages such as Visual Basic, C/C++.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in Python or Perl programing in a Windows environment will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and hands-on debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues.
  • Experience using lab equipment’s such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, GPIB protocols.
  • Experience developing ATE test programs and hardware for magnetic sensors, image sensors or motion sensors will be a plus.
  • Experience with production test yield improvement and cost reduction.
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis (Six Sigma, Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, etc.), quality and reliability testing.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, CMOS circuits and test methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage third-party vendors, suppliers and partners.

Education

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have at least 5- 10 years industry experience in a highly competitive semiconductor manufacturing test environment.

Job Location:

Responsibilities:

  • As a Crocus engineer embedded at Tower Semiconductor, operate, coordinate, and facilitate magnetic sensor deposition and etch activities for Crocus Technology.
  • Work with the Crocus Technology team (located in Grenoble, France) to implement, coordinate, optimize, improve, and control deposition and etch processes for magnetic sensor products on Crocus-specific tools at Tower Semiconductor.
  • Work closely and effectively with Tower Semiconductor technical, engineering and maintenance teams to facilitate and assist in qualifications and monitoring tasks, maintenance planning, recipe development, process improvements, R&D activities, production planning, and relevant information exchange with Crocus team.
  • Facilitate and perform relevant data gathering, analysis and reporting relevant to activities above, and coordinate troubleshooting activities as needed.
  • Participate in regular remote/online meetings with Crocus Technology teams in Grenoble, France and California, USA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Process engineer with experience in magnetics and/or semiconductor process technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in silicon (Si) wafer process technology (sputtering deposition of metals and ion beam etching in particular).
  • Knowledge of vacuum tools.
  • Experience in semiconductor wafer fab environments including strict safety, wafer handling and documentation protocols.
  • Industrial experience or experience collaborating with industry partners.
  • Working knowledge of magnetic materials and technology is a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills with a high degree of fluency in English. Fluency in French is desirable but not required.
  • Skills in database, project management and statistical data analysis tools including SPC, process monitoring and DOE.
  • High degree of organization and attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently in an efficient, flexible, and open manner in a diverse team environment.

General Job Description:

Hands on experience working with and setting up testers, probers, meters and other lab equipment in a semiconductor engineering lab environment. Responsible for operating and setup of laser programing machine. Able to perform Incoming and outgoing inspection of 8” wafers. Also support engineering activities including but not limited to wafer sort and final test setup, magnetic setup at wafer level, conduct tests and collect data.

Complex Tasks:

  1. Able to setup different types of semiconductor equipment.
  2. Able to operate the semiconductor equipment.
  3. Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
  4. Conduct tests and collect data.
  5. Prepare and conduct experiments.

The Applications/Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the testing, characterization and application electronics development of our TMR Magnetic Sensor Product Portfolio.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Immersed in Applications Engineering activity including generation of application circuits and demo boards with circuit design steps, component selection, circuit schematic, bill of materials, PCB layout, test procedures and reports
  • Support Applications Team’ documentation efforts to enable customers to build and customize reference designs provided
  • Ensure customer support by providing guidance for troubleshooting/analysis, competitive analysis, and solution generation, including FA support relative to applications and systems issues.
  • Involved with automation of Lab Measurements and development of new test methods to characterize and benchmark TMR Magnetic Sensors
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need for this Position

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BS and/or MS in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline with minimum 5-7 years of experience in the Electronics Industry in an Applications or Electronics Design role.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of sensors, preferably magnetic sensor, readout circuitry is a plus
  • Demonstrated related experience in the areas of sensors, integrated circuit, PCB design with good hardware debugging skills is mandatory
  • Experience in measurement automation (LabView, VEE, Python) as well proficiency in programming microcontrollers (STM32/MSP430/PICs) to enable rapid prototyping of sensors.
  • An effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization and cross functional teams both written and orally.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to do basic GUI development in Windows as needed to support demonstration boards.
  • Experience with analog, mixed signal testing for multiple industrial and consumer applications
